What is Emergency Contraception (EC)?
EC is a safe and effective way to prevent pregnancy after unprotected sex or birth control failure — like if a condom breaks or someone forgets to take their birth control pill.
It's most effective when taken as soon as possible, ideally within 72 hours, but it can work up to 5 days after under-protected sex.
EC will not harm or end an existing pregnancy.
Each Free EC kit contains:
Over-the-counter emergency contraception (levonorgestrel)
Safer sex supplies, like condoms
Educational materials and connections to healthcare resources
