Beacon Partners with Planned Parenthood Great Rivers to Bring Mobile Health Clinic to Jefferson City October 12th

JEFFERSON CITY, MO – Planned Parenthood Great Rivers (PPGR), in partnership with Beacon Reproductive Health Network, will bring PPGR’s mobile health clinic to Jefferson City on Monday, October 12th, providing sexual and reproductive healthcare directly to the community.

The mobile clinic will be located at Beacon’s Jefferson City office and will offer vasectomies, all forms of birth control including emergency contraception, and STI testing and treatment. Services will be provided by pre-scheduled appointment only.

Many Jefferson City residents must travel outside their community to access the full range of sexual and reproductive healthcare. PPGR’s mobile clinic helps reduce that barrier by bringing high-quality, affordable care directly to patients.

“Everyone deserves access to sexual and reproductive healthcare that’s affordable, compassionate, and free from judgment,” said Michelle Trupiano, Executive Director of Beacon Reproductive Health Network. “Beacon works every day to connect Missourians with high-quality care through our network of health centers and partners across the state. Bringing PPGR’s mobile clinic to Jefferson City is one more way we can work together to sustain access and make it easier for people to get the care they need.”

PPGR’s expert healthcare providers will offer a wide range of services aboard the mobile clinic, including IUDs, contraceptive implants, and related birth control; vasectomy; and STI testing and treatment.

"Jefferson City may be the capital of Missouri, but it is not a center for sexual and reproductive healthcare,” said Dr. Margaret Baum, Chief Medical Officer of Planned Parenthood Great Rivers. “Far too many residents struggle to get reproductive healthcare quickly and near home. Partnering with Beacon Reproductive Health Network means our mobile unit can help bridge that gap. Everyone deserves to get the healthcare they need, when they need it and close to home — and we're proud to provide care, no matter where, with our mobile unit."

The partnership reflects Beacon’s broader commitment to strengthening and sustaining Missouri’s sexual and reproductive healthcare system. Beacon supports a statewide network of health centers and works with healthcare providers and community partners to help ensure Missourians can access affordable, high-quality care in their communities.

Patients can book appointments by calling (314) 531-7526. Financial support may be available for qualified vasectomy patients.
